ABOUT US

To advocate for and rescue dogs and cats in desperate situations.

Our Mission

We are 100% a non-profit (501c3) rescue
Our main area of rescue is South of Houston where most strays are at a high risk

We focus on rescuing animals which are hours away from being euthanized
We are operated by dedicated volunteers solely using donated funds

We rescue dogs and cats by bringing them to our no-kill shelter
All our rescues are fully vetted, spayed/neutered* and micro-chipped prior to adoption
*rescue animals are only spayed/neutered if they have reached appropriate age to do so.

Our Beginning

K9Kare started with one woman, volunteering her time to animals in need. After seeing the terrible living conditions of some of the rescues, she decided to adopt some of these dogs in order to bring them into better conditions.

From there, she started to bring in more and more animals in need and the Rescue Ranch was born!

Our Plan of Action

We understand that in order for our animals to live their best life, they must get out of Texas. K9Kare has a group of wonderful volunteers in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, Canada; working to find homes for our rescues.

In many areas of Texas; dogs and cats are not considered to be family pets. The wonderful people of the Pacific Northwest have opened their homes and hearts to our animals looking for their furever home!

If you're interested in helping us bring more animals into the Rescue Ranch, or opening up your home to a foster or adoption, please visit our How To Help page!
